Marquette boasts the higher national ranking at No. 11 with an impressive 18-4 overall record and a 9-2 conference record. St. John sits one seed lower at No. 12, but the Red Storm have the edge in conference with a 10-1 record, enough to earn the No. 1 seed in the Big East.

There will again be two in-season top 16 reveals leading up to the 2025 NCAA women’s basketball tournament, as the selection committee will share which teams are currently ranked in their top 16 ahead of Selection Sunday. The first reveal comes as the countdown hits one month before the official selections:

The nationally ranked Ole Miss Rebels and Kentucky Wildcats Men’s Basketball teams prepare for an SEC showdown on Tuesday night. The No. 14 ranked Wildcats boast a 15-6 record. Four of the team’s losses are in conference, causing their standings to drop to ninth in the SEC.

At 10-1 in conference, the Johnnies are now in position to win their first Big East regular season title since 1991-92. Marquette is a game back at 9-2 in Big East play. The Red Storm have tied their highest AP poll position of the 21st century and haven’t dropped a game in the New Year.
