The missing data deepens the puzzle of what caused the deadly air disaster in Muan, South Korea, late last month.

Flight recorders from the passenger jet that crashed in South Korea last month, killing more than 170 people, stopped working minutes before the plane belly-landed and exploded on the runway, investigators said Saturday.

According to South Korean authorities, recordings stopped on both devices approximately four minutes before the aircraft collided with a localiser structure.
