Ford recalls some Bronco Sport, Maverick vehicles over 12-volt battery failure issue
Ford issued a recall because of concerns over 12-volt batteries in certain Bronco Sport and Mavericks suddenly failing.
Recall alert: Bring these Ford Broncos, Mavericks, to the dealer ASAP
If you drive these Ford SUVs or trucks, bring them to your dealer to be sure the battery is working properly, the National Highway and Transportation Safety Administration said.

The problem is due to a manufacturing defect in 12-volt starter batteries used in these vehicles. To fix the problem, Ford dealerships will replace them with new absorbed glass mat (AGM) batteries, free of charge. Owners who already paid for new batteries out of pocket will be eligible for reimbursement from the automaker.
