Officials across Middle Tennessee are urging drivers to take caution as snowfall is leading to slick conditions on several roadways and major interstates.

Preliminary snowfall reports across Middle Tennessee have been between 3-5” but we’re waiting for the official report from the National Weather Service. The airport did break a daily record snowfall, however, where Nashville records its official climate. 3.9” of snow fell at BNA which breaks the old January 10th snowfall record of 3.0” set in 1895.

A major winter storm, bringing significant snow accumulation, has arrived in Middle Tennessee. Here is when you can expect the snow to move out.

The Winter Storm Warning is in effect now across Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. It started at midnight Friday and will last until 6 a.m. Saturday for Lincoln, Moore and Franklin Counties. The rest of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky are under the warning that started at 3 a.
