ELOY, Ariz. - A 55-year-old woman died following a parachuting accident in Eloy on Friday, Jan. 24. According to a post on Facebook by the Eloy Police Department, complications during the descent of a skydive led to a distress call around 4:00 p.m.

A Minnesotan was killed in a skydiving accident in Arizona on Friday. According to the Eloy, AZ, Police Department, first responders were called to Skydive Arizona around 4:06 p.m. on Friday on a report of a parachutist “experiencing complications during descent.” Despite medics trying to save her life, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say they're still investigating to determine an exact cause, but said in a press release that there were "complications" during the dive.

Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves hosted the Denver Nuggets at the Target Center. The Timberwolves won by a score of 133-104.
