Sun president Jennifer Rizzotti said the team plans to play at Mohegan Sun Arena in 2026 after a deal was reached for a Boston-based group to buy the franchise and relocate it in '27.

According to a report from the Boston Globe, the Connecticut Sun are being sold to a Celtics-led ownership group for a record $325 million.

The Boston Globe reported Saturday afternoon that minority Celtics owner Steve Pagliuca has agreed to a deal with the Mohegan Tribe, owners of the Sun, to purchase the team for a record $325 million and relocate the franchise to Boston, starting as early as 2027.
