As the Dodgers welcome Shohei Ohtani on the mound for the first time, his former interpreter is now reporting to prison.

Shohei Ohtani's ex-interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, began a 57-month prison term after pleading guilty to bank fraud and filing false tax returns in $17 million.

According to ESPN's Alden Gonzalez, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Ohtani will throw a simulated game in the coming days, and it could "potentially" be his last. Ohtani could also join the pitching rotation "sooner rather than later," possibly within the next week.
