Francis B. Pera of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said. Authorities on Monday pulled two of the plane's engines and the fuselage from the water and had started to retrieve one of its wings.

More of the wreckage of an American Airlines regional plane was recovered Tuesday from last week's deadly midair collision over Washington, D.C., that sent the airliner and an Army Black Hawk helicopter crashing into the Potomac River.

Authorities said the death is not related to the American Airlines and Black Hawk helicopter collision that happened on Wednesday night.
