Newton didn't hold back on the Panthers and Smith isn't holding back on Newton, either

Cam Newton’s recent comments about being drafted by a “locker room of losers” did not sit well with former Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith

When I was the first pick, I went into a locker room of losers. Guys didn’t know how to win. Guys didn’t know how to prepare. It was a culture shock for me.”

Last week former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was a guest on Travis Hunter's podcast. During one point in the conversation Newton tried to explain some realities about being the number one overall pick in the draft - namely that means usually that player is going to the worst team in the NFL from the previous season.

Sometimes Cam Newton just says some stuff that baffles you. He did that again in New Orleans this week when he went on to potentially number one overall pick Travis Hunter's podcast to talk about what it's like to be the first pick in the draft.
