A Chicago man who was convicted recently of interstate transportation of stolen money and theft from and Indian Tribal organization in Michigan is scheduled to be sentenced in April.

The theft stemmed from a call that was made to the casino in July 2023 by a person claiming to be a tribal chairperson who needed funds to make an urgent payment.
