Great to eat, easy to catch, and fun to fight, time to chase some Spanish mackerel. Dense enough that, even in the small sizes, you can fire one a mile and hit that distant school of blitzing fish.

Spanish mackerel are plentiful in the area and make for a good fight and a tasty meal. Largemouth bass fishing is picking up in the Tomoka River, with snook also starting to show up in shallow water.
