There is less than one month remaining for the NBA trade deadline and the rumor mill around the league is starting to heat up. Trae Young’s agents are reportedly working with the Hawks to find a new home for the star guard while other rumblings continue to swirl around other bigger names on the market.
Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga is back on the NBA trade mill. A Monday mock trade by NBA insider Zach Buckley at Bleacher Report proposed a mock trade between the Warriors and Brooklyn Nets that would swap Kuminga and draft assets for red-hot Michael Porter Jr.
The NBA rumor mill never stops churning, and our latest reminder of that comes just five days into the new calendar year.
The Athletic’s John Hollinger also suggested the Raptors were a potential suitor, given it’s been linked to other stars on the market including Anthony Davis. Hollinger threw up a hypothetical trade package of Quickley, Ochai Agbaji and Colin Murray-Boyles for Morant, who could reunite with former Grizzlies assistant Darko Rajaković.

For his part, Young is "openminded" to a trade, as ESPN's Marc Spears reported, although he is not outright demanding one. While going to a team that is rebuilding would put Young back in the place the Hawks were last year, if the Wizards are willing to pay him big money this summer he probably wouldn't mind a move to the nation's capital.
