Rams-Bears Tops NBC Sports’ 34 NFL Divisional Playoff Games since 1988 (People Meter) – Surpassing by 4+ Million Viewers the Jan. ’94 Matchup Between Hall of Fame QBs Joe Montana and Warren Moon
NBC announced on Thursday that Rams-Bears was the most-watched divisional playoff game in the network’s history, drawing an average of 45.4 million viewers on NBC and Peacock. The previous NBC record was held by Chiefs-Oilers in 1994 when Joe Montana and Kansas City beat Warren Moon and Houston. That game drew 41.1 million viewers.
The former sports broadcaster turned candidate attacked “radical ideologies” in a campaign video packed with conservative talking points.
It goes to show just how much better the NFL is when the Chicago Bears are good.
Canellis' arrival and Berman’s departure are not related. Canellis will fill the role held by former NBC 5 lead sports anchor Leila Rahimi, who left in 2024. The station now has an opening for a weekend sports anchor.
The network made the move just weeks before the Winter Games begin in Italy.
