The 49ers have made the postseason again after missing out in 2024. Here's a look at their playoff outlook and remaining schedule.
The NFC West has a new leader and the top three teams have changed spots. The Seattle Seahawks are now the leader in the division, while the Arizona Cardinals remain in last place, the spot they have clinched.
And just like that, the Buccaneers are back on top of the NFC South at 7-7 with three weeks left in the season. The Panthers will host the Bucs in Week 16 with a chance to retake the division lead. The two NFC South rivals will then face off once more in Week 18.
The Panthers lost a chance to win the NFC South on their own in Week 18. Now, they need help to get into the 2025 NFL playoffs over the Buccaneers.
The Vikings struggled with second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who was tabbed the new starter, even though Sam Darnold helped Minnesota reach the postseason. Ironically, Darnold won another 14 games for his new team in Seattle, and this time, his team captured the No. 1 seed after defeating the 49ers in a winner-take-all matchup on Saturday.
