Following last year's update of the light duty Ram 1500, the heavy duty Ram trucks get a refresh for 2025 with a redesigned Cummins 6.7L diesel and more tech

Powering the most basic Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups is still the 6.4-liter gasoline-burning Hemi V8, which drops 5 hp, now delivering 405 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque, pushed through an eight-speed ZF HD 8HP75 transmission.

The 430-horsepower Cummins Turbo Diesel delivers a 70% rise in torque. The diesel option is offered on Ram 2500 and 3500 HD and 3500, 4500, 5500 Chassis.

As in previous years, Ram offers the 2025 Heavy Duty in three cab configurations (regular, extended, and crew) and two cargo bed lengths. Trim levels include Tradesman, Big Horn, Lone Star (available only in Texas), Power Wagon, Rebel, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited.
