On Friday crews were gearing up, and travelers were trying to get ahead of Friday's snowstorm. The New Baltimore rest stop on the New York State Thruway had hundreds of travelers coming in and out. Many of those people were traveling back from visiting family from the holidays.

A major snowstorm in the Northeast, including New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, on Saturday is affecting airports nationwide, including Palm Beach County International Airport. This is especially problematic because people are attempting to get home after Christmas.
The northeast is bracing for the biggest snowfall it’s seen in years, as the winter storm coming across the US is already causing widespread delays and cancellations at major airports. NBC News’ Sam Brock has the story.
