The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made arrangements for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 grand opening. Starting with pomp, the events set at numerous venues will provide a remarkable start to the long-anticipated event.

The Trophy for the upcoming Champions Trophy has returned to Pakistan after conclusion of its grand World Tour.

The BCCI will not have to worry about sending Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma to Pakistan as the PCB has reportedly decided to cancel the captains’ event and official photoshoot for Champions Trophy 2025 due to logistical challenges.

Pakistan is likely to go with a new opening combination in the upcoming Champions Trophy due to Saim Ayub's injury.

The final ceremony will be held in Lahore on February 16, attended by former cricketers and ICC officials. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has already met with PM Shahbaz Sharif to finalize the arrangements.

Though ICC ensured to keep a day reserve for the captains’ joint photo shoot, PCB reportedly cancelled the event citing the ‘unavailability of teams due to tight traveling schedules’.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to start on February 19, with Pakistan as the official host. However, due to the hybrid model, Team India will play all its matches in Dubai instead of traveling to Pakistan.
