A Leon County grand jury indicted a man on a charge of first-degree murder in the brutal death of a 1-year-old girl.

With an internal investigation underway, the mayor announced several other initiatives in the wake of a community tragedy.

In effect, county leadership is treating the airport as if the significant traffic growth and larger facilities under management don’t require more resources, or more capable staffing,’ the civil grand jury said.

A grand jury has indicted 25-year-old, Deric Young, on two counts including first degree murder and aggravated child abuse. That's following the death of a 1-year-old child in June.
