We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming him back to the radio booth as the ‘voice of the 49ers’ whenever he is ready.”

Greg Papa is the radio voice of the San Francisco 49ers on KNBR. He's also covered the Giants and Athletics, the Oakland Raiders and Golden State Warriors for decades.

Greg Papa, a Buffalo native and longtime Bay Area radio voice, says he has been diagnosed with cancer and will step away from his broadcast duties for now.
