Canada is preparing to retaliate with an exhaustive list of tariffs on American goods if President-elect Trump follows through with his plans to add a steep 25% import tax on Canadian exports, people familiar with the matter told CNN.

A senior official says Canada is looking at putting retaliatory tariffs on American orange juice, sinks, toilets and some steel products if U.S.

Donald Trump said this week he will use economic coercion to pressure Canada to become the nation’s 51st state.

Orange juice is largely produced in Trump's home state of Florida. Other items under consideration include ceramic goods, some steel products, glassware, and a slew of plastic articles, The Globe and Mail said,
