Fast food franchise McDonald’s is joining Harley Davidson, John Deere, Walmart and others in shuttering its DEI programs, meant to promote the inclusion of minorities in leadership positions throughout the company’s hierarchy.

McDonald’s has become the latest company to scale back its diversity goals, joining a growing list of corporations, including Walmart, John Deere, and Harley-Davidson, that reduced their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives last year.

While some companies are moving away from diversity programs, it's something a majority of Americans support, per an April poll.
