The Penguins have placed injured forward Evgeni Malkin on injured reserve following an apparent knee injury sustained on Saturday in a 4-1 loss against the Kraken in Seattle.
The three Cup rings — from Penguins championships in 2009, 2016 and 2017 — were initially believed to have been missing.
