The Panthers are planning to play their starters over the first two preseason tilts—tonight against Cleveland and next Saturday afternoon in Houston. Canales told reporters that he’ll look to keep the group in for, ideally, eight to 12 snaps.

These players have steadily earned more reps in training camp as Cleveland's quarterback competition continues.

As for the Panthers, this is a big third year for former No.1 overall pick Bryce Young. In his second year in the same system with Dave Canales, the Panthers are hoping Young can take a leap. They added rookie wideout Tetairoa McMillan to make Young’s life easier as well.
