The Chicago Cubs acquired Willi Castro in a swap with the Minnesota Twins just before the 2025 MLB trade deadline on Thursday, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

The Twins have traded off quite a few players on deadline day, including Carlos Correa heading back to Houston. And one Twins player is coming to the Cubs: Castro is a pending free agent, so this is a rental.
