The culture king is back in the NFL. And, oh boy, does he have his work cut out for him. Arguably no NFL head coach has done a better job in the past couple of decades of creating a culture, a vibe, an attitude in and round his team than what Pete Carroll created during his 14 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.

In his return to the NFL at age 73, Pete Carroll will set a new league record as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders in 2025. Carroll has already regained his status as the oldest active head coach in the NFL, but once the season begins, he will have a record within reach.

The Raiders have made the playoffs just twice since 2002. They need a jolt, and former Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is a living, breathing jumper cable.
