The woman who accused Xavier Worthy of attacking her, resulting in a case in which the district attorney has so far declined to pursue charges, has been granted a protective order by a Texas judge against the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver.

“Ms. Jones has chosen to use her voice to speak up for herself,” Angelica Cogliano, an attorney for Worthy's fiancée Tia Jones, told the Associated Press. “In doing so, she looks forward to the facts and circumstances of that night coming to light through the formal legal process, and getting the justice that she deserves.”

The woman who accused Xavier Worthy of assault in March 2025 has been granted a protective order until their first legal hearing in April.
