Shares of American Eagle Outfitters Inc. jumped 24% Monday, its biggest daily gain since August 2000, after President Trump weighed in on the retailer’s controversial denim ad campaign starring actress Sydney Sweeney.

The president called her much-debated jeans campaign the “HOTTEST” ad out there, which seemed to start a stock rally.
