Spurs have made significant progress on a deal, which is due to be worth around £55million plus add-ons, but there has been a suggestion that Palace want more up front so they can pursue a suitable replacement in Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss and/or Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis.
Football Insider has learned Tottenham are ready to blow Arsenal away as a formal Eberechi Eze bid is set to be submitted.
TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Arsenal’s move for Eberechi Eze is currently considered to be off the table, with Tottenham Hotspur set to firm up their interest. On Tuesday, TBR Football revealed that Tottenham had made contact with Eze’s camp, and there is an expectation that Spurs could now land him.
Eze was previously on Arsenal's books as a youngster until he was released at the age of 13. The former QPR man enjoyed a superb end to last season at Palace, scoring their winner in the FA Cup final against Manchester City as the Eagles won their piece of major silverware.
Tottenham are close to agreeing a deal for Eberechi Eze which will add to Thomas Frank's joy after a 3-0 win over Burnley.
Speaking about the situation, Darren Bent has revealed which club Eze would be better off joining between Spurs and Arsenal. Bent believes that Eberechi Eze should sign for Arsenal over Tottenham as Mikel Arteta’s side are further along in their development than their North London rivals.
