Air Canada suspended all operations Saturday morning after more than 10,000 flight attendants walked off the job demanding higher pay and better scheduling protections.

Five out of six scheduled Air Canada flights out of the airport were cancelled on Saturday.

The intervention, requested by Air Canada and business groups, is a relief for travelers and businesses that ship goods by air.
