The 49ers have to draft an offensive tackle this year. They haven't drafted one since 2021, Jaylon Moore is an impending free agent, Colton McKivitz will be a free agent in 2025 and Trent Williams misses games every year plus he will turn 37 in July.

John Lynch made it clear he hopes the team can work out a long-term deal with Brock Purdy, who's entering the last year of his rookie contract.

Earlier this month, 49ers owner Jed York confirmed that the team had met with Brock Purdy’s representation now that the quarterback is eligible for a second contract.
