PEORIA, Ariz. — Padres manager Mike Shildt said the line drive that hit Padres pitcher Cole Paplham in the face on Sunday resulted in fractures. “They’re working through all the concussion protocol stuff, but he is alert,” Shildt said Monday morning. “They’re trying to figure out with some further testing what the next steps are.”
