The Cleveland Browns have reportedly made a big decision with former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett.

It actually makes more likely what NFL insider James Palmer said earlier in the day, that Pickett is the most likely candidate from the crowded QB depth chart to be released. Pickett was a first-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers before the 2022 season and actually had a 14-10 record in two seasons as their starter.

The Cleveland Browns won't exercise quarterback Kenny Pickett's $22.117 million fifth-year option by Thursday's deadline, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. Pickett will earn $2.6 million in the final year of his rookie contract before hitting free agency at the end of the 2025 season.
