Mar 28, 2021 · It's Crash 1. Crash 4 is only really hard in the context of that one section in Cortex Castle and going for 106%. The crit path/main story is definitly more challenging than 2 and (especially) 3 but it's more than manageable. Crash 1 is hard no matter what because of the limited movement options and low hang-time on the jump.

Nov 3, 2022 · Purely comparing Crash 1 [OG] to DKC 1, Crash 1 is painfully rough around the edges with its controls, save system, and especially the level design/difficulty. I haven't actually finished DKC 1 yet (though I'm close), and it's been difficult enough to get me stuck at times.

Nov 4, 2022 · I got full completion on all these games and honestly I couldn't care to rank them. That said thinking on it I like Crash 1 a hell of a lot more than DKC1 so maybe Crash wins for me on that alone.

Jul 2, 2020 · The problem comes with Crash Bandicoot 2 and Crash Bandicoot 3. In these games there are several levels for each theme (sometimes there are even four stages with the same ambience), most of them sharing the same obstacles and without a noticeable difficulty spike that gives sense to all of them, not like in Crash 1.

Jan 7, 2022 · The actual difficulty of the platforming was actually great and right where the game should have been I feel. As was bringing back the "pefect runs" from the original Crash Bandicoot. They also should have just stayed with 1 clear gem and then the colored gems, rather than making each level have two sets of 6 clear gems to collect.
