I have experimented a LOT with avocado dye and have tried many different recipes, ingredients and methods to make paint pigments. Such a fascinating range of colours! The chemistry is tricky! My favourite though is a pinky-purple ink made from the pits and modified by increasing the pH with baking soda or washing soda.
