This is the largest homeless camp in Washington State—and no, this is not Seattle. This is Olympia, Washington, which also holds the grim distinction of having the highest per capita homelessness rate in the state. A significant percentage of Olympia’s unhoused population is concentrated in this massive park. Given that reality, why hasn’t the city immediately designated the entire area as a sanctioned emergency encampment and deployed intensive wraparound services? I spent the day inside the ca
