Planting our last caliper trees of the year! Here's how they go from their waiting place to being planted in the riparian zone. This year the KWRC managed to plant a total of 11,885 native trees and shrubs to restore habitat and create more resilient riparian ecosystems throughout the watershed! Only a small portion of those are caliper grade trees like these, but they definitely make a difference in the landscape and help to stabilize the bank more readily than smaller trees.
